Welcome to Jokle
Hey there, friends. Faraz here. I told you all I was going to do a comedy version of wordle and unanimously, you scoffed. It can’t be done, you guffawed. Well here we are.
This game is called Jokle (pronounced “Yolk-Lay”). The rules are simple: I’ll give you the setup to a joke by a famous comedian, and you have to guess the punchline. You’ll get 3 hints, each revealing more and more of the answer.
Will this be fun? Probably not. But Wordle wasn’t built in a day.
If you end up enjoying this, tell me. If you have suggestions to make this better, tell me. Blah blah let’s start the damn game.
A joke with a dark twist
We’re going to kick-off Jokle with a joke by Anthony Jeselnik. If you’re not familiar with him, he is renowned for two things:
Brilliant, tightly constructed jokes
Extremely dark punchlines
Here’s the setup:
Suicide runs in my family. Thankfully, it skips a generation.
The punchline is one sentence long.

How’d you do?
Please let me know how many hints it took you. Or even better, if you thought of a different punchline than Anthony Jeselnik!
I hope this was fun. If so, we can do it again next week with a joke by the great political satirist Tony Hinchcliffe.
